#1 How It All Began
We first stumbled upon the Skiathos Dog Shelter randomly online in March 2016. Instantly we knew that this was where we had to
go. We contacted Jan (the head of the Shelter), things took off, and before we
knew it, we were standing in the airport ready for take off!
The following morning we could
hardly wait to visit the Shelter for the first time. Before hand we had had a
lot of expectations about what the Shelter would be like and it definitely did
not (!) disappoint us – quite the contrary. We were met by a bunch of the most
welcoming people you could ever imagine, all with the same denominator: their
love for dogs. How could we not fall in love with this place? The dogs were
amazing; All these different breeds and personalities all in one place. We were
astounded by how well the staff had managed to keep everything in check with
all the dogs. To sum everything up the Shelter was wonderful and we quickly
found ourselves enamoured with the place. It was easy to get into the ambience
of the place and soon after arriving we were bringing home our first 5 foster
puppies.
